I
never considered the healthcare field as something
I wanted to do as a profession. I was drawn
in to this by an experience I had with my little
dog, Polo, who had a very severe case of colitis.
Colitis is alternating diarrhea and constipation,
commonly known as “irritable bowel syndrome.”
I loved my little dog and I hated to see him
suffer. I didn’t know what to do. I tried
all the conventional therapies my veterinarian
recommended and nothing seemed to help. |

I
was at my wits end when finally I found a veterinarian,
the amazing Dr.
Stephen Blake D.V.M., who does acupuncture.
I took Polo to get a series of treatments and
the results were spectacular! Polo was returned
to his earlier, robust health. I was so impressed
with the power of acupuncture on my little dog. |

At about that same time, I met a young woman who was attending
acupuncture school. I let her treat me when she was an intern
in the clinic and I was one of her first patients. I was scared
to death and then I had the first treatment. I now began to
experience what Polo had felt and I was amazed, pleased and
became a convert. The next thing I knew I had signed up and
enrolled in acupuncture school, myself. I have never looked
back. I am excited and happy to go into my office every day
and help people as people have helped me. I want to take this
opportunity to thank two very talented individuals who were
the motive force in launching this website. A thousand thank-you's
